1. Solubility of CMC
CMC is a natural hydrophilic substance. CMC particles are dispersed in water and will swell immediately and then dissolve.
(1) Under stirring, slowly add CMC to accelerate dissolution;
(2) in the case of heating, dispersion of CMC, can increase the dissolution rate, but the heating temperature should not be too high, suitable range of 50 ° C -60 ° C;
(3) When mixed with other materials, the solid is mixed first, then dissolved, and the dissolution rate can be increased;
(4)Adding an organic solvent that is incompatible with CMC but compatible with water, such as ethanol, glycerin, etc., and then dissolves, the dissolution rate will be very fast.
2. Hygroscopicity of CMC
CMC has hygroscopic properties, and its moisture absorption is related to atmospheric temperature and relative humidity. When it reaches equilibrium, it no longer absorbs moisture.
